Welcome to the Cedarmount Vets Website

Bangor Marina In our companion animal veterinary clinic, in the lovely seaside town of Bangor , we work hard to provide an informal, friendly welcome to all our customers - dog, cat, rabbit, gerbil, hamster, parrot, budgie, koi or human alike! Most of our work is from our own clients from Bangor, Newtownards, Holywood and Donaghadee, but increasingly, we are seeing cases from further afield and many referred to us for more specialised diagnosis or treatments

All pets are welcome to come in just for a visit – dogs especially settle much better with us if they are familiar with the clinic and staff – bring them in when you come in for food, wormers or just a chat! They will appreciate the relaxed atmosphere when they don't need veterinary attention, which will make it easier on them for visits when they do!

The Cedarmount Team - click to view a Cedarmount Slideshow Every member of our team is a pet owner, and we understand the worry that an injury or illness in a loved one can cause. We want all of the animals in our care to avoid any unnecessary pain, fear or distress: accordingly, we take a calm, sensitive approach, and where appropriate, use the best of modern sedation, anaesthesia and pain-relief to make every visit and procedure as pleasant as possible.

We use the latest technology, from dedicated cameras to look inside stomach or lung, to colour-doppler ultrasound to image blood flow in organs including the heart. An in-house laboratory allows our vets to get prompt accurate blood, urine and cytology results, facilitating rapid diagnosis. Thus, the correct therapy can be chosen very early on, maximising the chances of a rapid recovery for our patients, and minimising their suffering. We don`t do waiting lists!

We have been associated with Assisi Animal Sanctuary since its establishment, and along with other local practices, provide veterinary care and attention to their inmates, and training for their staff. Assisi does excellent work in often difficult situations. Many of our clients have acquired pets from them, and some have needed their re-homing facility, when changes in their domestic arrangements forced them to part with a pet. We urge all our clients to support their valuable work. We take pride in our service. If there is any way we could improve things for your pet or yourselves, please do not hesitate to let us know.
