The clinic is open Mon- Fri from 8.30am - 7pm for admissions, dispensing, booking appointments, free weight checks, purchasing over the counter items and for general enquiries.

Consultations are by appointment only:
Monday-Friday: 9.00am - 7.00pm

Saturday: 9.00am -1.00pm

Urgent cases will be given priority – if you make it clear that your pet's problem is urgent, we will make every effort to see him/her immediately.

Emergencies
Like your own GP, and seven other local veterinary practices, we have contracted out our out of hours emergency work to a dedicated emergency clinic. The veterinary emergency clinic we use is VetsNow (see link), based at the Earlswood Veterinary Hospital, and is less than a 15 minute car journey from our clinic when traffic is light, as is usually the case out of normal hours. The Vetsnow team all have our home/contact telephone numbers, and are instructed to contact us if they need advice on a particular case, or information from your pet`s case notes. At periods when the traffic on the main carriageway is heavy, and delays might occur eg. From 7.30 on a weekday morning, Vetsnow may contact us to attend an urgent case instead of asking you to travel at rush-hour. – Please remember telephone advice is always free of charge, and is often all that is required. If in doubt – call for advice.

If your pet must be seen in an emergency, and you have transport problems, there are several options available. Vetsnow may suggest contacting the Bangor-based PetChek Animal taxi/Ambulance – run by Mike Wortley 078 0840 2757 – experienced 24/7 service for all!! (VetsNow will know if Mike is unavailable at any particular period of time).

Tracy at www.lucyspetpals.co.uk is also available to transport to Belfast, in addition to her local taxi service.
