Find out how physiotherapy can help your pet

Physiopet at Cedarmount

We are very pleased to have Josie working alongside us, giving Cedarmount an extra and valuable dimension to our practice.

Providing our patients with the best possible pain and mobility management for rehabilitation after injury, or for "wear and tear" arthritis.

We are delighted that our clients and those referred to Physiopet, can benefit from Josie’s skill and expertise to assist in the treatment of arthritis and spinal injury.

Josie McKnight qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1999 from Glasgow University and has developed her interest in pain management using acupuncture widely and successfully to treat chronic and acute pain for many years.

Her interest in this field led into Veterinary Physiotherapy and she completed her Post Graduate Diploma in Veterinary Physiotherapy in 2011 at Harper Adams University.

Josie is a member of the following :

  • ABVA - Association of British Veterinary Acupuncture
  • ASSVAP - Association for the Scientific Study of Veterinary and Animal Physiotherapy
  • BVA - British Veterinary Association

Josie has used acupuncture widely and successfully since then to treat chronic and acute pain. She has had some rather strange patients (including a rat with knee arthritis and a skunk with lumbo-sacral disease!!)
